The Yachtmaster/Coastal Skipper Course is designed for:
- People who have completed the Day Skipper course both shorebased and practical
- Sailors and Boatowners with reasonable coastal sailing experience
- For more experienced skippers which takes them up to the theory
- knowledge required for Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Practical Examination.
Included in the course pack is the TeachMe to SAIL - Coastal Skipper Edition has over 300 megabytes of animations, video, colour graphics, sound, simple and clear explanations, worked examples and exercises to ensure you have grasped the topics, all of the Day skipper topics in detail along with an easy to use navigation system and helpful hints and tips along the way. The course makes reference to your RYA course materials making this programme an ideal partner to your Club training, Night school or as a standalone distance learning programme. Includes a FREE RYA Chart plotter CD which is only PC compatible.
When you have learned a topic you can test yourself with a quiz to ensure you have understood the concepts before you take the real exam, saving the hassle and disappointment that exam failure entails.

If you have the Day Skipper certificate (or an equivalent level of knowledge) then this is the right course for you. You will find the course extremely challenging if you cannot read a chart and carry out basic plotting and tidal calculations. If you are a complete beginner then this course is not the right course for you.
