In order to achieve the Day Skipper qualification, a student is required to undertake approximately 40 hours of study, before passing two exams (each lasting 1.5 hours). Our course is designed for individuals who need to be able to fit in this study, and complete the exercises in their own time. The RYA syllabus is split into 12 exercises and your specially assigned tutor will mark your exercises (usually submitted by email) in a 48 hour turnaround, and you can complete the course at your own pace, as long as this is within the allotted 12 month period. When the exercises are completed satisfactorily, your tutor will then send the two exams, which you sit in your own time, with your own appointed invigilator (who has to sign a declaration to confirm you sat the exams under the correct conditions). Once a pass is achieved (and our tutors do all they can to ensure this happens, indeed we guarantee a pass!) you will receive the certificate in the post. All the study material that you will need to complete your course is included PLUS plotters, dividers, rope and all the essential hardware. Also included are study manuals, practice charts, RYA and Admiralty booklets, practice navigation tables, Exam fees and course directions. This is the fast and easy way to get that certificate! Includes a FREE RYA Chart plotter CD which is only PC compatible.
